The lost PRC collection
Genevieve's finale lineup was great too

A villain is only worthy of being called a villain if she can go toe-to-toe with her hero, which is why Genevieve Graham was the best nemesis any season of Project Runway (Canada or not) has ever seen.

Sure, Kim had a poison tongue that drew tears from Jessica, and Brandon sold Jason out to Brian Bailey at the eleventh hour, but neither designer’s skills could pay the bills quite like Genevieve's. If any other cast member was going to give season two favourite Sunny a run for his money, it was her. And she did at the PRC runway show during Fashion Week in Toronto.

You, of course, didn't get to see it in last night's season finale broadcast. Unless you were in the tightly guarded Nathan Phillips Square runway tent on March 19, our shots below of Genevieve's segment are probably your first look at her collection. As usual, those Project Runway producers threw an extra collection into the mix to spoil any big-mouthed spoilers’ chance of knowing exactly how the finale was going to unfold.

It’s too bad because it was fresh, sophisticated and the next best thing to Sunny's Alexander The Great-inspired showstoppers. I wondered what the judges thought when Jason and Jessica's collections didn't measure up to the red herring?

Reality TV editing means we’ll probably never know. What I do know is that Genevieve has the talent to make it big on her own and, luckily, never has to wear the title of PRC runner-up.

Sure, she won't be known as the PRC runner-up, but she might become known as that designer who likes to attach wads of fabrics to women's hips. She's got to move past that or she's not going to go anywhere.

She's a villian because she's got beady eyes.

Vicky Vale, with all due respect- she's got the exact opposite of beady eyes.

I think that her collection was amazing. It had personality that came truly from her original designs. And saying that she "likes to attach wads of fabrics to women's hips" is such an exaggeration, just because Elisha Cuthbert thought that of one of her dresses, doesn't make that true for each piece she has designed. She understands what looks flatter a womans body in a fashion forward way. Her and Sunny are by far the best of the competition. I think the judges gave her a hard time because they didn't like her personality. There were much worse executed designs than hers. Everyone has their own opinion and favourites, and respect is given to all.

Thanks!
