Google camera cars have been crawling the city for months, and are still out there.
So how long till Toronto gets a Google Street View Map?
In April, it was a flurry of easy press for Google, as it promised its Street View map of Toronto within "weeks."
It's now August, and guess who still hasn't got images of the Annex?

Google reports it's Street Viewing more than 30 Canadian cities at the moment, including Abbotsford, BC and Barrie, ON. The project began in May 2007, with cities like Tokyo, Detroit and Hobart, Tasmania already online.
Isn't there any way to fast-track Toronto? With a tech-friendly city like ours, you'd think it'd be in Google's interest. At least ahead of Barrie and Hobart... But Google says it will not release the map on a city-by-city basis. Unfortunately.
The Toronto Star, amongst others, began a Street View watch in April. It lasted about 12 days.
Around that time, Street View sightings were Twitter fodder, as the Star and others tried to make find-and-seek Google cars a trending topic. Type #streetviewTO into Twitter today and see exactly how well that's trending. (Or don't. It's not trending at all. Zero instances.)
Thus far, the complaints about Street View are predominantly about privacy, and the invasion thereof. Wikipedia documents one unique point of view from a columnist in Saskatchewan, who wrote that Street View will paint a bleak picture of his city for tourists.
But what about holding Google to its self-made deadlines? Or, more pointedly, what about this complaint: Where is Toronto's Street View already?
