WHAT: Saurus Patagonia Select Malbec 2005 (red) Rating: NNN

WHERE: San Patricio del Chañar, Argentina

WHY: In Argentina the sun is shining, the birds are singing and the grapes are swelling. The LCBO got a piece of Southern hemisphere action with the recent Argentine release, which includes this Malbec. It’s big, rich and warm; sort of like the way uncles are portrayed in old movies.

PRICE: 750 ml/$14.85
