Lured by the devil, a young soldier suffers the consequence of his own greed in Stravinsky’s work for instruments with spoken rhyming libretto by C.F. Ramuz. Written in 1918 and based on a Russian folk story, director Anita La Selva gives it a modern and whimsical staging that incorporates movement and encourages interaction between the onstage musicians and three highly engaging actors.

This brief review doesn't mention the most interesting and best thing about the show- 9 live musicians! It is rare to hear a piece like this in such an intimate (and perfect) setting. The music is wonderful!

um... 7 musicians, but good point. It's a modern classic, and the company do a wonderful job presenting it. Go see it.
