Secrets from Your Sister has opened a second north-Toronto location at 2501 Yonge (416-482-8007, secretsfromyoursister.com), just above Eglinton. Look for expert bra fittings and 1,200 square feet of underwear labels, including Fantasie, Freya, Elle Macpherson and Betsey Johnson.
 

Jacflash fashions

 
On the heels of its first anniversary, Jacflash (1036 Queen West, 416-516-8766, jacflash.net) has launched its own menswear collection. Jac By Jacflash is a collaboration between owner Jaclyn Genovese and Ryan Turner, designer of cult New York label The Cast (thecast.com). Inspired by James Dean and Marlon Brando, the line includes slim denim, suiting and leather pieces with vintage styling.
 

ROM regent

 
On Saturday (October 11), the Royal Ontario Museum (100 Queens Park, 416-586-8000, rom.on.ca) as part of its Out Of The Vaults series unveils an original court gown worn by Marie-Antoinette. The gown will be on display in the fourth floor Patricia Harris Gallery of Textiles & Costume for two weeks only before being shipped to Versailles for a palace exhibit.
 

Found Object

 
ObjecToronto (objectoronto.ca), the contemporary craft and design fair, kicks off at the Gladstone (1214 Queen West) and other satellite galleries next weekend (October 17 to 19), but you can get a sneak peek at Sarah Jane Reynolds’s soft-sculpture show on now at Distill (55 Mill, building #47, 416-304-0033, distillgallery.com). Plush animal figures will be on display until October 26.

Home improvement shoppers can source eco-angled building materials and decor at this weekend’s (October 10 to 13) International Home Show (internationalhomeshow.ca) at the International Centre (6900 Airport Road). Look for model homes incorporating sustainable materials, and seminars on greening your lifestyle. Adult admission is $14.
