Vancouver’s Jeremy Hatch was the toast of this month’s design show weekend. Despite losing a crate full of cast pieces to a careless courier, he rigged an installation for Come Up To My Room in the Gladstone’s Room 214 with porcelain skids, ropes and pulleys that flabbergasted show visitors. While we don’t have room for his life-sized tree house or swing set sculptures, we can carve out some space for his Sèvres-style urn. The piece at Radiant Dark twists the traditional vase form but maintains its gutsy gilding.
