Last call needn't necessarily mean an end to the night's festivities. When most bars are shutting down, the Matador's just getting going, churning out the old-time twang from after 2 am until dawn. The weekend's entertainment is written in chalk on the front door, there's dancing inside, and Harrison Ford's been known to stop by for a little after-hours two-step.

Since the smoke-free-environment bylaw kicked in, the Horseshoe staff have been more diligent than most at getting puff sneaks to butt out in the rear room. Not only has the policy made it possible to see the band onstage, you no longer need to bathe in tomato juice when you get home.
