Just when you thought rave was over, Destiny comes back with a revitalized WEMF 2005 , the annual three-day camping and dancing adventure. Credit Sideways for bringing wine tourism back in vogue for more than just the well-heeled grey-haired set, but Jackson Triggs Niagara Estate Winery is sweetening the pot by running a series of cool vineyard shows through the summer. Punk in the Park

If the film release of Lords Of Dogtown is making you all misty-eyed for real hardcore skateboard shredders set to a soundtrack of haphazard punk rock, you'll be stoked to know about the return of the annual Warped Tour , which touches down in Barrie's Molson Park July 30. Pack your longboard for a full day of loud 'n' obnoxious attitude from bands like Dropkick Murphys , Motion City Soundtrack , Funeral for a Friend , Atreyu and more. Along with the usual entertainment from a shitload of extreme sport freaks on the ramps, this year's highlights include the return of original low-self-esteem punks Offspring and Christian pop-punk survivors MxPx . Rebounding Mariposa

After suffering a string of dismal years - no thanks to Mother Nature - the venerable Mariposa Folk Festival is recovering quite nicely and the move north to cottage country seems to have been a winning strategy. This year's Mariposa (July 8 to 10) at Tudhope Park in Orillia is headlined by Can-folk icons Gordon Lightfoot and Murray McLauchlan , but there also appears to be a mild attempt to appeal to a slightly younger crowd (i.e., 30-somethings) with the addition of Sarah Harmer and Serena Ryder to the bill. 705-329-2333, www.mariposafolkfestival.com.

Hot Hillside

It's no longer a surprise to see another strong lineup booked for the annual Hillside Festival, but even by the high standards of Hillside's programming, this year's slate of alterna-darlings set for the great Guelph getaway (July 22-24) is very impressive. Just with old standbys like Sam Roberts , the Weakerthans and the Be Good Tanyas , you've got a solid draw, but throw in current it bands Arcade Fire and Stars and there's a guaranteed huge turnout.
