I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell begins with the explicit surround-sound wails of a deaf girl having sex, and ends in a slippery pool of diarrhea, both literally and figuratively.
The Hangover wannabe is full of tasteless and offensive hard-on humour that’s disgusting without ever being funny.
What’s peculiar is how the “real” life experiences of writer/producer Tucker Max are so prone to clichés. The movie is about a bachelor-party road trip, and heads where most bachelor party movies go. The buddies are your typical assortment: the sweet jock, the depressed and socially retarded nerd and the Stifler-like perv.
And they meet a stripper with a heart of gold along the way to their eventual denouement. Is art imitating life or life imitating art?
With a movie this shitty, who cares?
