What are we frakking waiting for?
A wish list for the final episode of Galactica

Battlestar Galactica wraps up its fourth and final season on Friday (March 20) with a two-hour conclusion that will – we hope – make some sense of Ronald D. Moore and David Eick’s densely complicated space opera.

Here are 10 things we’d like to see in the last episode, airing on Space at 9 pm. Plans to screen it in high-def at the Fox Beaches fell through. (If you’re still catching up on DVD, you should stop reading, like, right now.)

1. Apollo (Jamie Bamber) and Starbuck (Katee Sackhoff) finally figure out what they mean to each other. Show’s over, kids; get it on or break it off, once and for all.

2. Caprica Six (Tricia Helfer) and Athena (Grace Park) team up to beat the snot out of that sanctimonious Brother Cavil (Dean Stockwell), preferably to the tune of All Along The Watchtower. Leave it to the humans and they’ll just frak it up.

3. Saul Tigh (Michael Hogan) gets his eye back. Hey, he can have one of Cavil’s!

4. Tyrol (Aaron Douglas) finally learns that one of his fellow Cylons airlocked his wife last season. It would seriously amp up the divisions within the Final Five, and he deserves the closure.

5. Helo (Tahmoh Penikett) survives the finale without being further betrayed, throttled, beaten or clandestinely raped. Given that this is the final episode, it seems highly unlikely, but seriously, give the guy a break.

6. D’Anna Biers (Lucy Lawless) returns to the Cylon fold. She’s the most interesting of the show’s “original” adversaries – a religious true believer who’s also a clear-headed pragmatist – and as a result, the show’s never quite known what to do with her.

7. Somebody punches Ellen Tigh (Kate Vernon). Seriously, frak her and the resurrection hub she rode in on. She’s nothing but trouble.

8. Starbuck in a dress. Hey, they said there were going to be surprises....

9. Gaius Baltar (James Callis) revealed as the final Cylon. It’s gotta be him; why else would they keep him around after New Caprica?

10. Bill Adama (Edward James Olmos) cracks a smile. Because somebody on this godsdamn show ought to.

Bill definitely needs to stop being so weepy ... as much as I love his sensitive side.

Kara Thrace has been in a dress at LEAST once if not twice on the series.

Forget getting paid to write this, do you even watch the show? Most of this doesn't make sense. Starbuck's worn a dress, Adama's a pothead (so yeah, he smiles), and Ellen is maybe the best character of the series. No one wants it to end in any of the ways you have described. You obviously don't get it. And I don't just mean the show.

Dear Now, I'm looking for a job. Give me Norman's.
