Vaneska

WHERE You can catch her Friday (December 21) at Teranga (159 Augusta) DJing as half of the Camp So Chill duo, and then later on that night at Circa (126 John), in the Bathroom Bar, as part of AD/D’s Random Land Fridays. She’ll be rocking the mainstage at Circa on December 28, and if you’re in Montreal for NYE you’ll be able to catch her at the I Love Neon after-party at the Duck Club.

WHAT “Guilty pleasures, youth tunes, party anthems and club bangers, 90s dance, 80s pop, blog house, top-40 mashups, electro and hipster house.”

WHY “I took over the decks at a house party as a joke. I thought I was being funny by playing 90s dance music, but everyone went nuts, and by the end of the night I’d booked my second gig.”

WEIRDEST MOMENT “I DJed for Daft Punk at my loft. Daft Punk weren’t wearing their robot helmets, so some of my friends didn’t even know who they were partying with!”

yeah, deejays for 6 months, can't beatmatch for shit, has to stare at Serato, can't even hook it up herself... just does coke with the right people in the right bathroom stalls, gets booked at Canada's biggest club and get's a dj spotlight. Vaneska sucks and is the embodiment of what's wrong with dj "culture."

Dear Hater,

I was at CiRCA for the first time last Friday and had one of the best nights ever. Vaneska KILLED it - which is how i ended on this page here after googling her.

Vaneska came up and absolutely obliterated my bar one night. She hosted an iPod battle I was putting on and our bar broke a sales record. The only problem I had with her is she kept playing my best songs during the breaks between rounds!! Whoever wrote that first comment is a surly, second-rate dj who is doing coke in the washroom with the wrong people while Vaneska is puttin in time on her mixes.
